How far in advance should we contact you before starting a project?
Lead times vary depending on the size and complexity of your project and the time of year. As a guide, larger extensions and full renovations are typically scheduled several months ahead, while smaller works may be accommodated sooner. Contacting us early gives more flexibility to align planning approvals, design work, and tendering with our diary.
How do you approach budgeting and cost control?
We provide clear, itemised quotations that set out what is included and any provisional sums or allowances. If you wish to make changes once work has begun, we discuss the options and confirm any cost or programme impact in writing before proceeding. This approach helps you stay in control of your budget at every stage.
Can you help with planning permission and Building Regulations?
Many domestic projects require some level of approval or notification. While planning and design are usually led by an architect or designer, we are experienced in working with these professionals and with local authorities throughout North Somerset and beyond. We can advise on what is typically required and coordinate with your chosen professionals as the build progresses.
What materials and suppliers do you use?
We use tried-and-tested materials and reputable suppliers suited to the UK climate and domestic building standards. Where possible, we select products that balance quality, durability, and value. If you have preferred brands or finishes, we are happy to incorporate these into the specification where compatible.
Do your works come with any form of warranty?
We stand by the quality of our workmanship. Specific warranty terms can vary depending on the nature of the works and products used, but we always clarify what is covered, for how long, and by whom (for example, manufacturer or installer) as part of your documentation.
What support is available after the project is completed?
Following completion and handover, we remain available to answer questions and provide guidance on using and maintaining new elements of your home. Should any concerns arise, we encourage you to contact us promptly so we can review and respond in a structured, timely manner.
If you have a question that is not covered here, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
